Take and Make Kits

Take and Make Kits Banner, Various Arts and Crafts Implements

Our popular Hands-on Learning Kits return this fall. Due to changing community conditions and guidelines from the health department, ImagineIF Libraries is not able to provide a safe environment for staff by presenting indoor programs to youth. Therefore, we are planning a hybrid outdoor early literacy classes and take-home kit program.

Kits can be reserved the Friday before they launch using ImagineIF’s Personal Shopper service at imagineiflibraries.org/shopper or call 758-5820. New kits launch Tuesday 9/7, Monday 10/4, and Monday 11/1 in all ImagineIF locations, while supplies last.

Takeout Storytime Kit (ages 2-5)

Preschool and toddler Takeout Storytime Kits are designed to replicate an ImagineIF Early Literacy Class at home. Kits include songs, science and art exploration, sensory activities and child development tips for caregivers.

October’s Kit: Itty Bitty Beach

Bring the beach to Montana with your own jar of sensory sand. Mold it, scoop it, slice it, and play – it’s your personal sandcastle! Kit includes sand tools, songs, and ideas for brainy play.

Mini Take-home Hit (Elementary-aged)

Teen Take & Make Kit (6th-12th Grade)

The Teen Take & Make Kit challenges teens to explore STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) activities through entertaining and fun projects they can do at home. These kits are especially for youth in 6th – 12th grade.

October’s Teen Kit: Solar Oven S’mores

Construct a solar oven and then harness the sun’s power to cook s’mores. Tinker with your oven’s design to make it even more efficient!
